Day 1: TUCSON, AZ - DEPARTURE DAY:
The luxury Gray Line Motor Coach will leave Tucson at 9:00 AM - heading west on the highway 86 towards the Lukeville/Sonayta Border. Here all passengers will obtain their tourist visas before entering Mexico. Afterwards we proceed to Penasco Del Sol Hotel, our home for all 3 nights. DAY 2: ROCKY POINT, MX - BEACH DAY:
Sit back and chill in the sunshine and the ocean waves ebb and flow. This is a free beach day or you can participate in the many optional activities offered by ECO Fun Tours. DAY 3: ROCKY POINT, MX - LOCAL TOURING
Today we will take a trip to the “Malecon” (old port) for an afternoon of dining, curio shopping, and sightseeing (on your own). Our bilingual guide will be on hand to help with advice, and those that are interested can join him as he wanders through the old port. If interested, you will be able to purchase seafood to take home, so bring your coolers! Penasco Del Sol Hotel, Puerto Penasco, Mexico.
DAY 4: ROCY POINT, MX – RETURN DAY:
We bid a fond farewell to the lovely sea of Cortez as we head back to Tucson.

DAY 1: FLY TO PHOENIX, AZ:
We fly to Sunny Arizona and overnight in Phoenix. Radisson Hotel or similar, Phoenix, AZ.
DAY 2: HERMOSILLO, SAN CARLOS:
This morning we depart by deluxe motor coach, crossing the border into Mexico at Nogales and arriving at Santa Ana for lunch. After lunch we depart for Hermosillo where we visit the Cathedral and the Government Palace to view the famous murals depicting the history of Sonora. We arrive in San Carlos this evening and check into our lovely ocean front hotel, our home for two nights. Marina Terra, San Carlos, Mexico (B, L, D).
DAY 3: CRUISE ON SEA OF CORTEZ CACTUS GARDEN;
After a relaxed breakfast we board a private boat for a scenic cruise on the sea of Cortez as we watch for dolphins, seals, exotic birds and possibly whales. Once again on land, we visit a scenic overlook en route to the local cactus garden. Wander among massive cacti and learn about these fascinating plants. We enjoy lunch at the hotel. There is time to relax and explore the Marina Shops. We enjoy a seaside, sunset dinner tonight. (Marina Terra, San Carlos, Mexico (B, L, D).
DAY 4: GUAYMAS PEARL FARM, ALAMOS, FOLKLORIC SHOW:
We depart San Carlos after breakfast. Our first stop is the Guaymas Pearl Farm, the first cultured pearl farm in North America. Here, we learn about pearl oyster farming, pearl grading and quality selection. We then travel south through the rich grain farmlands and to the foot hills of the Sierra Madre Mountains, arriving in the quaint city of Alamos. This town is a living museum. The cobblestone streets are lined with beautiful Spanish Colonial Mansions. This evening immerse ourselves in the local culture at dinner as we enjoy a colorful spectacle of music and folk dancing by performers wearing traditional costumes. DAY 5: TOURING ALAMOS, EL FUERTE;
After breakfast we enjoy a guided walking tour through the cobblestone streets of Alamos. We visit some fabled mansions that have been restored to their original grandeur. The city of Alamos has been declared a National Historic Landmark by the Mexican Government. Lunch today is at the hotel. We depart for El Fuerte and arrive by early afternoon. DAY 6: TRAIN RIDE IN THE SKY, POSADA BARRANCAS, TARAHUMARA INDIAN CULTURE PRESENTATION:
Early this morning we transfer to the train station and board at 8:00 Am. This train is known as the most spectacular train ride in North America. We enjoy lunch onboard and we arrive at Posada Barrancas by mid - afternoon. Our hotel for the next two nights is the hotel mirador. We enjoy a Tarahumara Indian culture presentation tonight. Hotel Mirador or Hotel Divisadero, Posada Barrancas, Mexico (B,L,D).
DAY 7: POSADA BARRANCAS:
Today, we can explore the Tarahumara Indian Arts and Crafts, visit the rim of the canyon and enjoy the surroundings. We have an opportunity to board the Copper Canyon Aerial Tram way that descends into the canyon with great views. There is time today for some optional activities. Hiking, horseback riding or just relaxing. Hotel Mirador or Hotel Divisadero, Posada Barrancas, Mexico (B, L, D).
DAY 8: NUEVO CASAS GRANDES, MATA ORITZ POTTERY DEMONSTRATION:
After breakfast, we board our motor coach and transfer to creel by way of Oteros Canyon. After lunch in Guerrero, we descend from the Mountains into the Chihuahuan Desert and the city of Nuevo Casas Grande’s. Tonight we enjoy a Mata Ortiz pottery demonstration and have our farewell to Mexico dinner.

DAY 9: CASAS GRANDES PAQUIME:
Before leaving Nuevo Casas Grande’s, we visit Mexico’s northern most archeological site at Paquime where the ancient Grand Chichimeca civilization erected their pyramids and adobe multistory apartments. We travel through the plains and cattle country of Chihuahua before re - entering the USA at Douglas, AZ. Arrive in Phoenix early this evening. Radisson Hotel or similar, Phoenix, AZ (B, L).
