Tanzania is a well – known tourist destination in East Africa and around the world at large. The best known tourism attractions are the Serengeti Plains, the Ngorongoro Crater, Mount Kilimanjaro, and the beaches on Zanzibar Island. But it should be understood and noted that these do not begin to cover what Tanzania has to offer to the world. For example, forests and woodlands in Tanzania cover some 39 million hectares (Tanzania Nature Forest Reserves (TNFR), which is about 40% of the total area of Tanzania. More than 25% of Tanzania’s land is covered with national parks (Tanzania National Parks) and game reserves or wildlife reserves. Countrywide there are more than 20 national parks, 32 game reserves or wildlife areas (some of them have been upgraded as National Parks very recently) and 43 controlled conservation areas and Marine Parks (Tanzania’s Marine Protected Areas – TMPAS). Other major tourism attractions including Tanzania historical and cultural heritage sites, Tanzania wildlife tourism safaris, Tanzania lakes and rivers, Tanzania’s Great Rift Valley, Tanzania Mountains Climbing and Hiking, Tanzania Cultural Tourism, Tanzania Tourism Safaris hunting, Tanzania Safari Styles, Tanzania Safari Facilities and many more.
